high blood pressure meds interaction

Have you heard of any ineractions with BioSil an
Telmisartan-Amlodipine (high blood pressure medication)?

Hi,

No, I have not heard or read any studies suggesting that Biosil may be contraindicated with blood pressure medication.

You should check with your doctor or pharmacists before taking supplements if you're on any medication, just to be safe.

BioSil Side Effects

I have hashimotos and I felt my blood pressure rise and my face got hot. My stomach didn't feel too good either.

I waited 4 hours as recommended before taking a supplement. I took both pills together which might explain it.

The stomach has calmed down. Afraid to look in the mirror. Having said that, I also took manganese and applied a nicotte patch at the same time.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to spread them out. Maybe one biosil am and one pm.

That being said, I have not seen any medical publications indicating that Biosil has any major side effect or is contraindicated with any medication.

The most common side effect is stomach upset which usually happens if you take more than is recommended on the label.

Biosil and Synthroid medication/ Biosil side effects

Does Biosil interact with synthroid medication?
Secondly, I started taking Biosil, 2 capsules/day, a month ago, and three days ago I woke up with swollen hands and light headache.

To test side effects of Biosil, I interrupted it for two days, and side effects have gone. I am afraid to resume it now, please advise what should I do.

Biosil is a natural supplement that contains a stabilized for of orthosilicic acid. The body uses this as a building block for collagen and elastin production - which is why Biosil has been touted as a skin and hair vitamin.

While there are several studies attesting to the benefits on Biosil for hair, nails and skin - I have not seen any studies or information on interactions between Biosil and medications.... including Synthroid.

The only documented side effects of Biosil is an upset stomach if more than the recommended dosage is taken. The recommended dose is 5 mgs per day.

Unfortunately, I'm not a medical professional so I cannot provide medical advice about your situation. Your best and safest option is to discuss this with your doctor. You may also consider asking your local pharmacist as they are knowledgeable in common drug interactions.

Can biosil cause cold sores. Ive heard before collagen can cause an eruption.

That is not a side effect I have every heard of before. The most common side effect is bloating and other stomach/digestive distress if you take more than is recommend on the label.

However, you are the best judge of your body, if you feel something is not agreeing with you, then discontinue using it and contact your doctor.
