The average cost for Botox injections for wrinkles is between $250-$400 per session or for each area injected.

For example, horizontal forehead creases, scowl lines between your eyebrows, crow's feet, and/or vertical wrinkles of your upper lip.

Some doctors charge according to how many cc’s are used -- cc means cubic centimeter. This is a volume measurement for most syringes.

Make sure you find out whether your doctor charges by the area or by the cc. I rather be charged by the cc, since I only need or want a very small amount.

Botox Results

It takes anywhere from 5-7 days to see the full results. And results can last from 3-6 months. However, after several injections you may only need to repeat them once or twice a year.

I only need injections about once every 7-8 months.

Side Effects to Botox Injections

Most common botox complication includes temporary headache, redness or swelling at the injection site. Most of these are gone by the next day.

Botox risks include: local muscle weakness including drooping eyelids, lack of feeling, skin tightness and nausea -- but these are very rare.

Botox injection for wrinkles are fairly safe with low risks. And considering that you can use Botox for wrinkles and a slight face lift.....

It's probably one of the best cosmetic procedures to have in terms of safety and dual use.
