Zenmed H-Series Moisturizer - Parabens

The Moisturizer Review page suggests the Zenmend H Series moisturizer - but it contains parabens.

Isn't that bad for your skin? I thinking about starting an anti-aging routine because I'm over 40 yrs. Old. Is a good time to start?

That is a great moisturizer and is great for aging or dry skin. The methyl/propyl paraben is not dangerous as they are food grade anti-microbial additives to help prevent the formation of bacteria. Bacteria in your skin care product is really bad for your skin.

Many people confuse parabens as being a "bad" thing because they confuse it with paraffin. Are you sensitive or allergic to parabens?

You are correct in starting an anti-aging routine - instead of just moisturizing - which is important, but at this stage you want to feed the skin so it doesn't age faster.

For some reason around age forty - our skin begins to decline much faster. You'll see (if you don't care for it properly) negative changes happen almost overnight. It's pretty scary!!

This is an excellent time to start facial exercises - before the really deep lines set in and the sagging takes place. Prevention is much easier than correction.

I started noticing aging around my eye area when I was about forty or so. It happened over night and scared me to death. I was too young (or least felt young) to start looking old at forty!!!

I started face exercising because I realized that creams alone won't do it all....they can take care of the lines - a bit - but not raise my cheek muscles and lift the jowls/neck.

After years of off and on again exercises I finally found one that doesn't scare me (no super stretching or excessive pulling of the skin) and it's quick.

Gosh, one exercise program I used for a year took 45 minutes. I was late to work several times a week ;-) This one only takes 15 minutes once you learn them.

Best Moisturizer for Oily Skin

Please help. I was told by a skin expert that I should never use a moisturize because my skin is so oily. But I know this sounds weird, my face feels tight and gets flaky, even though it's oily!Please give me some suggestions.

Thanks for your email regarding oily skin tips and the best moisturizer. Just because your skin is producing excess oil doesn't mean it's hydrated!

You still need to moisturize/hydrate your skin regardless if it's dry, normal, or oily. Sometimes when people try to treat their oily skin, they wind up making matters worse because they use products that Over-dry the skin - which only causes even more oily production.

You should try to use moisturizers that are oily free and if possible ones that help control sebum (oil) production.
