Some where on the internet I read about a vitamin you can take to help build collagen and make healthier skin and nails...I think it called silicon?? Do you have any information about that?

Hi,
Years ago a woman in a health food store told me to use lots of vitamin B5 for oily skin and acne. She also to me to take zinc.
I've been using it for 10 years and it has helped clear up my skin and reduce the oil a bit. My skin is still on the oily side, but not like before.
Now that my daughter and son's are in the teenage years and are suffering from the same oily/acne prone skin that I had ... I got them started on this program and it looks like it starting to work pretty well.
Just wanted to share that with you all.
thanks
Jessica

Thanks Jessica for sharing that great advice. There are quite a few studies supporting the use of vitamin B5 (pantothenic acd) for oily skin and the mineral Zinc for acne.
Keep us posted.

The Dr Max Powers Men's MultiVitamin is outstanding for fighting off stressed (chaffed, acne-prone, dry) skin.
I have used it for about 5 years now and it is all good. Great for re-balancing skin's texture and alleviating inflammation due to life's stresses. Highly recommended.
Thanks for some much for the great recommendation. As a health advisor for over 25 years I'm a big advocate of taking Vitamins for healthy skin and body.
